ACT I – ACTING TECHNIQUES

A.C.T (A Conscious Thought) method created by Director Kathy Uyen will be taught in ACT I – Acting Techniques to make sure that they understand the basics of acting as well as the script analysis method. In the content of the lesson, students have the opportunity to learn the foundation of acting as well as the improvisation ability, distinguish between comedy and psychology, practice flexibility exercises to control their thought, enhance the sound of their voice, release facial expression and the body energy.

ACT II – SCENE STUDY – EMOTIONAL EXPRESSION

Depending on methods and techniques learnt from the previous acting class ACT I – Acting Techniques , students can be able to practice and develop acting skills further at ACT II – Scenes Study. Through this class, students will have the opportunity to learn advanced acting techniques on how to express emotions during heightened dramatic scenarios, such as how to cry, kiss, fight, dance, scare and sing while acting in different film genres.

ACT III – BUILDING CHARACTERISTICS

Students will get to know how to breakdown script, map out character’s emotional journey and build emotion and physicality of a character to prepare during pre-production at ACT III – Building Characteristics.

ACT IV – SCENE STUDY – PHYSICAL EXPRESSION

In ACT IV – Acting On Set, students will approach to all the key tools and techniques for shooting on set, practice exercises to prepare the right before the shooting of the scenes, to keep in focus, trigger emotions and maintain mindset. Besides, students will learn the level of emotional intensity, eyelines, and physical movement during the camera angles, and how to maintain emotions and focus during shooting.
